When I first got the boat, I bought a really nice Coleman camp stove with a single burner on the left and changeable griddle, BBQ, plates, on the right. But the more I thought about an open flame in the cabin, the more I worried about it.
So I bought the smallest microwave I could find at Wally World (Wal Mart) and installed it where the old stove use to be.
I will use the Coleman on the outside or at the slip. I still use the microwave when on the water running it off a battery/inverter.

As I said I touched off a torrent of comments regarding. I am going to use the electric as I have a genset as well and will avoid all the potential evils.
"IF I WERE TO USE THE ALCOHOL STOVE", it for sure would be the non pressurized type, or "IF I WERE TO CHANGE TO PROPANE" it would be a correctly installed marine type built in that could not tip by a surprise wave.

Yep Paul,
The suggestion of using coleman fuel (white gas) in a stove meant for alcohol or something else would be most likely (kaboom)

The single burner butane stoves are available at any good sporting good store......the fuel can is about the size of a shaving cream can.....very convenient.

We finally got our Sig Marine oil stove installed this month. We took the boat out hunting in 0 degrees and we all stayed warm & toasty!

The stove was about $1600, and the parts to install it were probably a couple hundred. We had to have a custom tank made for the fuel.....etc, so all told it was probably around $2500 once we got it in. Maybe a little bit more.

Thats a camp stove should not be use indoors and a boat cabin is indoors
save camping stoves for camping .

For camping it is. Its not a boat stove . Also read the label "outdoor use only "the cabin is indoors and don't forget gas fumes are around if used on deck.

Reason I wanted to keep mine, it is recess in the counter top. But if I could find a replacement that would fit where that one is then I would do that.

Even having a boat type BBQ on deck makes me nervous because the gas tank vents are too close for comfort.
