MadBen wrote:Great story Michael...and so well stated. These boats are getting up in age and perfection is just not achievable in most cases. After all, we are not spending the 250,000-400,000 that boats in this class are fetching new these days. Glad to hear your outcome is positive. AND, that is a really gorgeous boat!

Hey Jim,
Good luck in your search!
Last year i looked all summer for a Trojan. I found this one
http://www.harrisellis.com/Listings.php ... 12264&url=
i made an offer of $12,000 and the owner rejected it.
I later found my F36 and purchased it. In the fall the broker called me and said the owner would accept my offer if I was still interested.
I know the boat is a litte far away, but man what an adventure that would be bringing it all the way home.
Good luck in your seach!
Cheers,
Matt

Matt,
Sounds like you were patient and got a great deal.
That's a nice looking boat but a bit of a haul to Pittsburgh. I'm not sure what's involved with bringing a boat across the border and registering it in the states. Has anyone ever done that?

Please let me know if you received my reply.
Thanks,
