LandVF36, I will for sure check that F32 out, thanx. I am sort of handy and am looking for a boat with good bones, not much of a mechanic. looking for one that needs upgrades and updates

wow!! with what you did to the cruisers, i cannot WAIT to see what you're going to do with the trojan. i love when folks bring these gals back to life. i've often wondered if the folks that built these boats thought they would be around in the 21st century. says something for the quality build of the hulls and cabins. and the wood work is second to none!!

thanx Aaron. I am pretty anxious to get going... just have to find the right boat, I have looked at a lot of the posts and pictures here and am pretty sure I can make a great cruising boat for me and the grandbabies
accommodation plan 1 gets my vote along with profile 2. just make sure the lounge can be jack knifed or broken down to access the engines. the entire salon floor is engine and genset access. are you planning on relocating the electrical panel? access to it is under the lower helm station in the salon. some of the later models had it facing the dinette on that back bulkhead. just a consideration.

I'm actually on a lot of different sites. I came here originally to get more info on possibly purchasing an F32, or F36. Got the Silverton, but still find myself on the different manufacturer sites. I like to learn and look at any and all boats.
There have been a few members who made built in salon furniture that still allowed access into the engine bilge.
My only thought, turning that couch into a L shape, I think won't gain any seating. Your probably limited to 3 people whether its an L or a straight couch. Not sure if that would change your mind on going that route though.

thanx for your input, much appreciated. I am leaning with you on the plans, want to keep the classic look, but a little modernized. I am looking for one without lower helm station or I will remove if need be, I am pretty sure I would rewire the boat completely 20 to 30+ year old wiring scares me. I saw on here one of the guys built his salon seating to fold or hinge upward for access, it looked really nice

good point, I have not been onboard a 32 yet, just pics. vids and diagrams, so it is hard to visualize. I will have to keep that in mind
