Thanks Paul, I appreciate that...itching to try them soon.

I'm curious to hear your results as well...be sure to let us know.
Can only assume that as some of our engines tire a little over so many years of service, and the extra weight that mysteriously finds it's way aboard, and our not so perfect bottoms.... that the factory prop specs no doubt need some tweaking to keep pace with the original new "dry" boat performance numbers.

on my f28 bottom clean and fresh engines. I am banking on the 14x9s making a good difference.

Problem solved....Thanks to Paul in Windsor.
Paul was so kind as to lend me two Nibral props to try, a 13 x 10 Cupped Dyna Jet...and a 14 x 9 Cupped DJX.
The performer was the 14 x 9 DJX. (For record, the 13 x 10 laboured badly and couldn't reach 3000 rpm)
800 RPM was given back to me on a Nickel Bronze Aluminum Platter!
Me old 318 has roared back to it's WOT at 4000 rpm.....very happy to put it mildly.
Horse power to weight ratio has to be coupled with the 'perfect' prop on these old inboards....simple! (Simple now that It's figured out, lol)
Paul, the best part is now the admiral has stopped asking me if we need to repower....Thank you! (Sending you a PM)

Congratulations! I know just how frustrating it can be with the boat not hitting peak performance.
