My grandfather had one of those plaques hanging on the wall of his study that said " If boats were supposed to be made out of fiberglass, he would have planted fiberglass trees" or something to that effect. He was an Owens (of the Owens Boat family). I grew up on them (Owens boats) and remember F/G being a taboo subject.

Galaxy??Here in the states they were Aruba, Grenada, and Tahitian. Maybe they had different names in Canada.

You're right. I'm thinking of the Aruba. The one I had in mind was named Galaxy III....mind fart!

That Aruba was a great boat. That was our last "Demo" before Brunswick bought the company. We felt like we were rich on that boat. We had central air conditioning...only ones on the dock...and not enough electric on the dock to run it..LOL. I think we had only 20 amp service at the time and the marina finally upgraded it for us. LOL, I was only 7-8 and I remember that. Thanks for bringing up a great memory.

LOL...after last night, I'm a little burned out.
Remember when we had direct overboard heads...and then swam and fished in the very same water. YUK! We did it though and never batted an eye.
