I have a 26' flybridge cruiser 1978 it was repowered in 1998 with 2 gm 4cyl. 3.0 liter and volvo penta outdrives the props both spin clockwise. the boat will all of a sudden take a hard dive to port once and a while> I tried bleeding the trim tabs a while back I don't think it made much difference. Any input appreciated.

I really don't know for sure but don't twin usually spin oposite, one clockwise one counter-clockwise?

I have to see pics of this. Got any pictures of this set-up...?

How fast are you going when your boat makes the hard turn? I have an F-26, but it is a single inboard. If I go any faster than 23 knots, the boat is a little sensitive, when I hit 30 knots, a person moving from one side of the boat to the other can make the boat start to act like that. Mine has a sweet spot of 17-19 knots which is where I tend to run. The only time I run it up is to make sure the engine is reaching its recommended rpm. I would like to see some pics as well. I heard they put twins in it, but have never seen one.

Matt has a good point . If it happens at higher speeds have you tried triming the out drives out a lillte ? using the trim tabs to much can cause this also . the faster you go the less you need to use the trim tabs . they can cause a bad bow steer

Thanks to all for the input I think the trim tabs have a lot to do with it I am still learning how to handle a boat this size I was keeping the tabs down because I thought it would keep the front down but I am learning that is not the way it is supposed work it seams to handle better when the back sits down a bit I have yet to try the outdrive trim that will be next I think the port tab had a little air in the line so it would pick up under load and cause the boat to dive to that side i have bled the lines since the last time I recall the problem occuring and as i said i am trying raising them after i'm on plane

Out of curiosity I was wondering what type of cruising speed you get with your setup. Would like to see some pictures of it
