Ok I just purchased an 89 12 meter, beautiful boat. What maintence do I need to know about these J &T Diesels. 6-71s. I am unfamailar with them. Just curious what kind of upkeep, how ofter do i change the fluids/ filters? want to maintain them and keep them healthy , any suggestions would be appreciated.

the 6-71s are very good engines I had one in a comm. shrimp boat and put 12000 hrs on it without a problem they are easy to service
I was changing the oil and filters at 150hrs and the day i sold the boat it was still running strong
