I can't believe it, one of my pictures on photobucket was censured for violating their terms. After a coupla inquiries they finally gave me the specifics so I could identify the picture. I have removed the offensive type and reposted the picture. Can anyone guess what it used to say (why it was "offensive"??

Different sites have different rules , just like your house may have different rules then mine , you may curse at me at work or curse at Joe's but if you come over and curse in front of my grand daughter you would be out of here NOW !

Who, exactly would it be offending? Mentally retarded people? Would they even know? Is offending even a crime? NO? Then my right to free speech should trump your right to freedom from offense. Wait, there is no such right, so then it becomes censureship. Censuring my speech because someone doesn't like what I am saying. How far away are we from rationalizing censuring people who oppose your political views? Sound far fetched? Don't count on it. It is a slippery damn slope we are treading on. I don't like where it is going.

And whats wrong with being nice ? How do you Know that some one on hear may someone at home with special needs ? Its not about freedom of speech , Its about doing the right thing . How you going to feel it in the next year you have a kid or grand kid with disability ? or if something happens to you and you become some one with needs ? Don't say it can't happen because it can !

yes you have freedom of speech , but do you have the right to hurt someone ? its a fine line .

Oh please, it has been called mental retardation for hundreds of years. Should we start legislating niceness, say make it a law that you have to be nice? Who is going to determine what is nice? the same people who say that a commonly used word is suddenly decided to be not nice. Sure there is a place for decency and common courtesy in our society, but to begin to legislate what is nice or not is insanity. Political correctness is insanity and will lead to our demise.

And yes i do have the right to offend someone as long as it does not violate his rights or the law. And it's not a fine line , it is a ridiculous discernment.
