browsing my local craig's list for shi*s and giggles, as usual, and found an ad for a 41' "burns craft' yacht...for like 24K.

i've never heard of burns craft...and there didn't seem to be any historical/company information online, that i could find during my quick search (i'm at work. hehe)

anyone know anything about this make? i'm assuming it's a POS?

Burns Craft built thousands of boats 1970's thru to the late 80's. Huge line of houseboats, express cruisers and motor yachts. Just Google Burns Craft, and you will see what I mean.8) Jimbo36

i did...found some listings, but no real history.

either way...the ones that i've browsed, for giggles, make me think they must not have been very valuable/well made. they don't seem to command a lot of price for their size/function.

anyhoos... moving along.

Started a restoration on a 42 Burns Craft back in '04. The hull was laid in a Chris Craft mold but the rest of the boat was done by Burns Craft. This company was heavy into house boats and from what I understand, they wanted to get into cruisers so they purchased hulls from Chris Craft.
