Why the differance

Just wondering why almost all Tri-Cabins have small block power,and all F36 convertibles are big block or diesel.My 1980 Tri-Cabin with chrysler 360s seems to havve plenty of power. Thanks John

I believe They felt the buyers of the convertible were interest in speed more so then the tri-cabin . remember the convertible were advertised as tournament sport fishermen. first to the fishing grounds first to fish . Trojan did offer Diesels as a options in the F36, But most I have seen are re powers , The cummins 6 B engines are used often in the re powers , But the never came from Trojan with them . Trojan used a V8 cummins (504) as a option may have used some other brands
