Wow, the Rideau looks great, we have done the Trent from Peterborough to Port Severn, and loved it. We are hoping to take a month next summer to cruise- we were thinking of heading back to the Trent, but it looks like we should add the Rideau to the list.

Post more pics.

Hey Gumper,

I do believe that first photo at the very top of your sequence was taken from the end of my finger dock.... the pic where you are moored on the Rideau Ferry Harbour gasoline dock.
If you look at my profile photo, that's the spot where I think you stood to take your pic.
So nice to see those photos of Jones Falls and Westport as well.

Gumper, those are such great shots of your Trojan. Good old Merrickville.
Lets get together for a drink next summer.

Rick

I think I was looking at your boat this summer (Rickalan35)

I must have been right by your boat. I will take you up on that drink for sure. I wanted to move the boat up there but the wife likes Merrickville to much. I will be going by there next summer for sure. I found this pic I think has your boat in it. Are you the second from the left?

Yep, that's my Tricabin (second from left) .... I really wish I'd been there when you were visiting. I trust that photo was taken fairly recently because they just moved that Bayliner 47 over to the end of the dock in September..... is that when you were up there?

Wow...... so cool to see my dock and my boat here on the website..... yaeee

What's nice about the location at Rideau Ferry Harbour Marina is the fact that we are at the beginning of the lakes and have a lot of wide open water available (as you already know)...... about 13 miles to the first lock at the Narrows.

Merrickville is a welcoming marina and the town itself is a wonderful, idylic heritage site. You must have had a great trip up through the Rideau Lakes.
Was that Jones Falls photo taken from Shangri-La Marina?

We have 6 Trojans here now and I believe one of them is a Sea Raider like yours.

Cheers

Rick

I am at the little marina right beside Aylings( it is owned by the same people). Yes that was in september . I plan to take two weeks next year ago to the 1000's Islands. We will have to have our own little rendezvous next year. I met alot of trojan owners last year were ever we docked. It was nice going up past your place and opening up the engines for a change. I was doing 30mph at 3100 rpm, didn't push it any further. She is a old girl. The Jones falls picture was taken from Hotel kenny. We stayed the night at the new dock they put in and had dinner at he hotel.
