How about your horn.

We have had problems with keeping a horn working. It seems after a year the horn quits. I took apart the last horn and wanted to see what was happening. It was getting hot and melting the plastic insulator. I thought that the design was bad and I definately will not buy that brand again.
I am getting ready to install a Wolo Dominator on the boat. It is a dual horn and supposedly loud. I know it is hard to mount because of bracket design but I don't mind that. I have the tools to do it.
I looked at the bracket and I could switch it around to make for easy installation but I will wait and see. Oh , the price I got if for on the internet was almost half what we paid for the one that did not last.

Horn? I just scream, get the %#&^ outta my way!

Just kiddin'...I replaced my trumpets about 8 years ago, bought from John at Marine Tech. Yeah, probably paid a bit more but his service can't be beat.. Haven't had an issue yet with them.

Well we replaced our horn and the new horn is loud and has a lower tone than the old one. I definately think it will do the job.

In our marina, we got into a freindly horn battle a few years back. I won with 2 x Hadley 38" horns, a 135 psi mini-air compressor, and a 2 gal air tank. Its a nice low blast and makes for lots of smiles.

Some horns can be quite loud and have some really great sounds. I just want people to hear us when we need to use it. I did watch a video of a car that had a old time boat horn that was quite loud and very deep sound. When the horn blew people ran. I don't think we need one like that. LOL

hey ron, i dont need airhorns, but the ones on my tri are less than powerful. would love to have you come up one day and assist me with installing new ones. this is one thing that i'd rather not do myself and working with phil on a project like this is not something i would like to entertain--- if you all catch my drift.

it would be great to have air horns, but do i really want to sound like the RMS OLYMPIC leaving south hampton?
how much lead time do you need? yes, they are in the same location. as for working with phil on this, that would be a no. we DO NOT work well together. i still get shivers thinking about working with him doing dry wall 10 years ago..... not a good experience at all.

Couple weeks notice should be good. Go ahead and get them. I seem to be in the Bay Bridge area once a month during the season.
