Despite the very cold winter last year, the Charleston Trout population is now alive and well again - we caught over 40 within 1/4 mile of the house this afternoon in 4 hours.

This we'll take the F32 out for 3-5 days up/down the ICW and drag the McKee along and just live well and fish ...

We stay on the boat - and fish with the McKee.

Love to come up - but its about a 600 mile round trip ... too much for 3-4 days. Love Turkducken though - sounds good! Guess we'll eat fresh fish and shrimp for a few days.

Got the new Teleflex cable in the 18 today (moved it to straigthen it - hate to have it break at 67mph!).

Going Trout fishing tomorrow ... then get the F32 ready on Monday/Tuesday for a Turkey day cruise.

Friday: 40 total
Sunday: 41 total
Today: 52 total

Kep 8 (+1 Red) today - all on light tackle trolling the creeks. Fun running a spread of 4 rods on a 14' McKee in a 20' wide creek ... drop backs caught about 10 - just like Sailfishing ...

Re-rigged and going tomorrow and Friday ...

I was at Jekyll Island, GA the last week of September. As always, when the tide changes you can't get them off the hook fast enough. If the pier had been lower we could have used a dip net. Ate good that night.
