If it were me, I would be moving those plug wires as far away from those carb's as possible! Not a good idea to have those wires against the carb IMO.

Looks like hes using the gold flame arrestor as the filter - should be OK.

I agree on moving the spark plug wires AWAY from the carb!

Forget the plug wires and the filters - we are still in 'under construction' mode :D

The Holley's just arrived and tomorrow we will have all that time for fine tuning.

No idea about type and horsepower increasement untill now.
But our specialist will be able to clear all questions tomorrow.

But one thing is for shure: Engines will not smoke any longer and still working at idle.

Hello again - back from second test ride :D

At first: We didn't have bigger flame arrestors until now (but in the line).
The golden ones are still from the old ones (single register).

Our problem with that dieing engines at idle rpm's by leaving neutral gear
was just a piece of cake.

Look at these pictures - the small holes just have to be closed:

... now we have very well running engines at idle while maneuvering.

I'm not looking for more HP's - but with that Holley's a couple of horses
will come together with that stable cruise at idle.

I'm not a cowboy - just cruising is my favor. And - yes of cause: we had
a 5 minutes ride at 4.000 rpm's - VERY IMPRESSIVE :o

But, you know - theese are old engines and we will take care of them.
It is good to know that you could have that power in case of .... 8)

Second: Starbord engine runs a little to hot - lower oil level (changing).
Port side flybridge Rev counter is out of order
Port side water separator was 2 times full on one ride ...

No time to shoot any pictures today - but will come soon.
