I was wondering if there are any 10 Meter in any bone yards. I would be interested in the center windshield with the vent that the later 80's models used.

Seems that this project would be better handled by a local glass company.

Its somewhere on my DO list.

With the windshield removed, I think I would remove all the glass and then powdercoat the entire frame, then have the glass re-bed.

The opening bottom half of the center glass could be a simple hinge with a manual hatch spring device, nothing fancy needed, just functional.

If anyone does this project I hope they will share.....

I'm hoping to motorize over this winter. It is nice that it opens but on the mid cabin, it's a pretty far reach to turn the latches.

The opening center window is nice. It seems this concept was used a lot in Trojans over the years. On mine, its the old skewl mechanical crank with the telescoping rod assembly and lever mechanism to actuate the window. It would be really easy to convert to electric, but I like the old mechanical crank affair. I've also seen them with a hatch like actuator where they operate more like a flap and you just lock it in place with a set screw that has a knurled handle molded into it. I don't think Nancy ever knew how serious I was when I said how happy I was to see the old crank and rod assembly and that a solid center pane would have been a deal breaker.
