Completed first week living aboard, and I am liking it

Well, we moved my boat to its new marina last weekedn (see my comments in my thread about fuel efficiency). Took about 3 hours at 7 knots. Although the weather was not great, we all had fun (I had several friends and my brother along).

Now, first week aboard is done, and I am liking it. The Tri Cabin has a nice layout and is a quite comfortable boat. The fore cabin is being used for storing gear, and the aft cabin makes a nice place to sleep. The salon/galley has plenty of room for me to sprawl out, do my recovery exercises, and cook, etc. The cockpit/sundeck area is huge, and with the full canvas enclosure it is a nice place to sit and sip a coffee and have a smoke.

Other than the as yet undiagnosed dead port engine, things are good. Very good.

Cheer.

P.S. You really get a sense for how huge the Tri Cabin really is when you see it among the other boats in the marina. In its old berth it was at an end of boat houses with one other boat, and the scale of the Tri Cabin didn't show as well as it does in its new home.

Glad you are enjoying living aboard. We love our tri-cabin for all the room it affords.

I am in Shleter Island marina in Richmond. I chose it because they openly accept live aboards. And they have their own pub.

I am happy with the layout. It is a nice living space, and being by myself I have loads of room. It is a nicelayout indeed.
