changing thermostat

Quick question: I had to change the hose from my circulating pump to the heat exchanger so I though this might be a good time to change thermostat too. I have 1989 454 crusaders. I believe the thermostat I need is 160 but I am also curious if I need to order a gasket as well. Also, will I need some type of sealant for the gasket? Anyone know a part number for the thermostat? Thanks!

Yes, 160 if its Fresh water cooled which they should be. You'll want two gaskets for the top and bottom of the housing. Yes, use a think coating of RTV just don't cover up the brass inserts which need to make contact for the alarm to work.
