My oval lexan port windows were in really bad shape, Very cloudy and they had some awlgrip overspray on them. I did a google search for "restoring lexan" and read about this a few places so I figured what the heck. I used maguires auto restorer wax with a buffer on its lowest speed and a lambs wool bonnet. It worked amazingly well! I still cant believe how well they turned out. Just thought I'd share with everyone.

I'd bet that a lot of International owners need to do the same too !

before i do my windshield im going to test the wax on a sheet of plexiglass i have at the shop. The windshield should be lexan but we all know what happens when you "assume" something. Figure I would see if it damages or "crazes" the plexiglass before I do the windshield. I'll post the results.

I used a 3M headlight kit on the corners and they came out like new. I did the full process including the sanding steps with a drill. That was 3 seasons ago, this year I did a quick re-polish only.

I was actually thinking of using one of the "ball buffer" attachments on the window because of the curve. At least we now know they can be buffed!

Thanks for the idea! My windows sure could use a freshening up. Did a set of headlights with sandpaper (750, 1000, 2000 wet sanding if think) and they turned out great. Never thought of doing it to the side windows or portholes. Mine sure do need it.

FWIW , head lamp repair seems to have a short life , so don't expect a long term repair .
