Anyone have experience with filling a crack of about 1/4" wide by 1/4" deep by 4" long in a piece of solid teak, and be able to sand and coat with Cetol (natural) that can hide the flaw to your satisfaction.

I have an idea if you have a router----make the crack a consistent size then cut a piece of teak the same thickness and size and glue in place,then sand down flat and finish---if the grain is the same direction you won't even notice---google dutchmans repair-----or if a small crack you can mix teak sawdust and glue ,fill and sand---both will work but the first is the best---Mike

If it's a straight crack, you can saw (rip) a piece of teak and use the kerfed piece as your filler. Glue and sand.

Mike, Thanks but the first thought will not work as there is no way to fit a router into the location, second thought is something I had in mind, But! maybe a combo of both. Create a veneer strip, fill the crack then overlay the veneer patch like a dutchman.

Will a dremel fit as they have some attachments that will do the same thing just a smaller scale,,be sure to use waterproof glue--Mike

Mike, I have a dremel, good thought! It's here and the wood is there, we will check it out.
