I settled the deal on a 10.8 flybridge / hardtop ive been looking at. Im sure ill be asking for help tracking down parts and picking your brains for knowledge. On the power trial today not a perfectly clean bottom 3500 port just pver 3000 stbd. Thinking/hoping its a throttle adjustment. Some items noted during the inspections.. shore power indicators dont work, bridge bilge pump lights dont work, the plastic around/under the metal engine room vents is cracked, stuffing boxs leak steady, and plenty of other hopefully minor repairs. Thanksnin advance for everyones help

Congrats . the loss of rpm or some of it can be from a dirty bottom .

Congrats! I always liked the 10.8. Be sure to post some pics when you get a chance. I was only getting 3400 or so out of mine when I got it. Turned out the props had wrong pitch and too much cup. Sent them to a prop shop and it fixed everything. Good luck with everything and don't be bashful asking questions, that's what this site if for.

What RPM should I expect to get out of the engines on this hull? if I was to have the props looked at what pitch/size should they be?

nice boat

congrats

welcome to the world of the International Meter Series boats.

Your engines should (I BLEIEVE) reach 4400 RPM WOT (wide open throttle)

If there are no other problems and it is less than that, you are overpropped.

There are many things that can effect this.

Eliminate all the other issues first.

Leave the propellers for last

Was the bottom not surveyed ?
