Seacock connection o-rings

I have a 1978 F-30. The seacocks connect to the intake hoses by a compression-type fitting. This fitting requires a rubber o-ring/washer approx 1.5 in. OD. The o-ring seals a beveled surface between the seacock and the elbow fitting which attaches to the hose. I cannot find replacement o-rings. Any suggestion on where I can find these is greatly appreciated.

I hade some made locally but the rubber is too soft and disfigures when tightened.

My f28 just had a flat rubber washer under compression via the nut. :)

Yes, that is what I am referring to. Do you have a source to purchase those?

Actually no, boat is in shop getting new engines now, I guess they have them. Seems a flat rubber washer of proper size should work fine. The water company uses the same type of connection to their meters and they are just flat rubber, but smaller. My bet a bearing and seal supply house would have something.

A great source for o-rings, washers and any other type of general hardware is www.mcmaster.com and most of the time it is in stock and delivered the next day.
