I have a 1988 F36. I currently have a SEALAND 711-M28 head. It only has a 9.5 gallon holding capacity. I would like to install a vacuflush system on board with about a 40 gallon holding tank. Where are the tank and pumps located on your boats? I am thinking under the range and galley sink. There is a lot of room there and I only need to pull the stove for access. They have a vacuflush with the pump and tank incorporated and I think that this would fit there OK. I have 2 crusairs in front of the starboard engine so there is a not much room. I dont really want it in the v-birth because of odors and imbalance of the boat. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure how much difference there is between f32 and f36 below decks except length if yours is a convertible---- but on our f32 pumps etc are directly aft of port engine,and tank sits over the water tank between the aft fuel tanks---- works fine---- Mike

I have the 4 fuel tank option in our boat. 2 tanks outboard of the engines and 2 tanks outboard of the generator (in the cockpit area) on each side. No room there...

Ours is a 73 F36. When I bought her, the vacuflush was installed under the starboard side of the front berth. A 15 gallon tank was installed under the berth in the exact center. So, there was a VERY long 1.5" hose that left the head and looped all the way around the bow and back to the pump and then it pumped forward back into the tank. If we ever skipped a pump-out after weekend, and it rained, it was just enough weight to make water stand on the bow. Not a good idea with these cored decks.

So, a few years ago, I removed the 2 x 50gal fresh water tanks under the floor in the galley. In that space, I installed a 45 gal waste tank parrallel to the bulkhead wall between this space and the engine room. I placed the vacuflush unit under the sink area as you suggest, and added a 10 gal hot water heater on the starboard side in this space. I too have an compressor unit mounted far starboard in the space already.

Then, I relocated the fresh water tanks to under the aft cockpit area. My F36 came with a set of fuel tanks back there, but a previous owner had removed them. I didn't use these cradles, instead, I bought flexible water tanks and installed them far port and far starboard, 40 gal each.

The added weight at the stearn, plus moving the waste system to mid-ship fixed the water on the deck issue quite well.

I also have a 1988 F-36, PO installed a Jabsco electric flush toilet. The holding tank is about 22 gallons and it's installed in the space below the refrigerator. He added an access panel on the port side, next to the stairs to visually see the level in the tank. It has both a deck fitting and a macerator for overboard discharge, where it's allowed. The fresh water pump for the toilet is also located in the same space.

By the stairs was one place I was looking. There is quite a bit behind the little cubby. I was just concerned about access. I know the vacuflush system is very reliable, but you still have issues some times...
