Fuel tank mounting - 10m (Todd?)

Todd,

Aren't the mid cabin tanks mounted on rubber strips? I just found this reading one of Pascoes's articles.....

"Do not use rubber strips: rubber contains carbon, which is cathodic to aluminum and will cause galvanic corrosion."

Curious on how these are mounted, I know we spoke about it a while ago.

I read the same article. they are mounted on what appears to be very high density rubber strips. The strips were glued on with what appeared to be something similar to rubber cement (which was pretty dried out). after removing them to prep for the polyurea coating, I had virtually no corrosion. The most important thing is to have the strips attached with no voids for moisture to accumulate. i reused the old strips and adhered them 100% with 5200.
