ignition start toggle switch

On my tri-cabin one engine kept cranking even with ignition switch off. Melted terminal on battery. The problem was the solenoid/start switch on the starter, in fact the engine started and starter engaged and running caused the rotor wires to heat up and flex outward contact the stator destroying both. That is being rebuilt. I decided as a precaution that I would change the actual toggle switch and the start relay under the 50 amp breaker.

I began the search for our ignition toggle switch - off-on-mom. I finally found them at Grainger for 11.63 each:

Carling 10C581 which appear to be exactly what we have.

As soon as I pickup the rebuilt starert all will be well again. :D

a couple of years ago I was having port engine trouble and after a lot of work and money I tracked it down to the ignition toggle switch on the bridge.
I installed two new conventional ignition key switches and I've had no problem since.

Works fine when you have room to install in a professional looking manner. My tri cab has a molded panel. But in any case my switches are good but doing a replace with new ones. Just posted so obtaining the switch could be easier and cheaper. :D
