Re: anti-siphon valve foibles
Be sure to check the fuel filter at the rear of the engines too, they are inside of the metal canister. Often overlooked, this is the filter between the pump and the carb inlet filter. I change mine several times a year...

Using the term bumpers instead of the name fenders. Ropes instead of the term lines. Galley as opposed to kitchen. Bathroom as opposed to head. Bedroom as opposed to berth.   I may have already said these but there are sooooo many pages to this thread, I ain't gonna go back searching...

Re: deck rot
There are quite a few Trojans in my marina and have been following these folks. I sent an email but have not followed up on a return call from them. Don't know costs but if you had any other vessels that would join in for some repair, it may well be worth it at a group rate. Pretty cool how they eva...

The beam is 13'. The flybridge surround, ladder and console will need to be removed in most cases. I have done mine. The two of us did the removal in 2 days. You will need to label all harnesses, wiring from fuse panel and cables. Yours might be doable in one day with the right help. Search F32 tran...

The XLs are throttle body injected-no carbs.kevinz wrote:Don't know if your engine is a 454xl or not. But my 454xl had the same problem and it was the oil pressure switch (Crusader part # 98220) that controls the fuel pump on start up.

Re: Crusader 454 needs priming to get it started
The Rochester Quadra-jet has an inherent problem with the fuel bowl well plugs leaking. They will leak fuel from these plugs and into the manifold. This causes excessive priming to get the engines fired back up again. The cure for this is to remove carburetor base, invert and JB Weld these plugs to ...

I'll also say ballast. Chrysler was famous for these issues. You should carry spares...they're cheap enough.
