switching from a manual to electric head

Post by gofish103 »

Dont know the brand, but I have a manual pump toilet. wanting to change over.
l looked in a couple catalogs and they sell the complete setup or u can buy a converstion kit. with the kit u use the original toilet and only replace the manual pump unit.

Either route I go, on a rating of 1 to 5 how difficult is this to do.

RARITAN160HF912
Raritan 12V HOUSEHOLD,FRESH,90DEG

This is the model I installed. Replace yours and you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Easy as 1-2-3

it all depends on time and money......if it was me id do the conversion ....i would assume the hardest part will be getting power to it...not the mechanics of it...but it all depends on how your old one wants to come apart..either route u take

I purchased a new one--I believe Jabsco-- 4 years ago--I hooked it up to fresh water line also---I would not even consider buying a conversion kit--

in my opinion potable water for the ocean or raw water for lake/river water....i think that salt water and waste/waste chemicals make for a stinky tank...i cant remember but they have a special check valve so the potable water doesnt get contaminated
