Hi all,
The lock to the sliding door on my 10m mid-cabin doesn't lock and hasn't since I got her. The mechanism doesn't really seem to work well (I have the key) and there is no strikeplate opposite the latch (on the port side of the entry to the cabin).
Does anyone know where to get a replacement lock, and the correct strike plate?
If not, any suggestions on how to secure the door? I need to be able to lock it as the boat will be on the hard while I pull and rebuild the starboard engine (winter project). I am considering welding on a couple of pieces of steel so I can use a Padlock, but it isn't a very elegant solution. Any thoughts would be welcome.
Thanks,
Teejae

Mine is nothing more than a sliding door latch and lock that you can get a big box store.
