Sold our F-26 today and put a deposit down on an 1988 F-32

Twin crusader 350's, Westerbeke genny, and a very extensive Raymarine network. Thought I would post a few pics.

Working out all the details, but should have her in the slip in a couple of weeks. Cannot Wait!!!!

Needs a little work, but thanks to everyone on the forum, I have the confidence to tackle.

On a note of interest, I have never seen a lower helm like that on an F32. Many later F32s went without the lower helm and instead, the bar. However, that helm station pictured is identical to the lower helm station on the 10 Meter sedan flybridge models. I am wondering if that helm was added from a 10 meter?

As far as I have been able to tell, it is a factory install on the helm. This was the first one like this that I had seen also. ( but it is the newest 32 I looked at )

When I looked up the boat on NADA, it was also not listed as an F-32, but as a "Classic 321 Sedan". So Maybe I can get Collector plates since it's a classic!

I wonder if the factory was starting to source these types of helms for the Meter boats, and rev'd the design as they were phasing this model out?

I do miss my F32!!. I hope to get this F28 deal done here in the next couple of weeks. Judging by the picture that lower helm does look factory

We splashed her this weekend, and all systems are go. Everything worked perfectly with no suprises.
Ran about 10 miles and foud upper and lower station tachs don't agree with each other. Uppers said 2850 rpm and lowers said 3100 rpm, gps had me at 21 mph, so I suspect upper tachs are light. This was with all our gear, 2 people and 1/4 fuel.

It was a filthy mess from sitting, but we did most of the scrubbing that needed to get done inside.

One question and a few pics.

Question: Has anyone ever removed the door and upper berth panels? Seems like it would be pretty straight forward, however I'm not sure how the headliner would be finished. My better half has seen some photo's of F-32's with these panels removed and she likes it. I would like to accomodate that. Anyone have any insight?

Couple of pics

I pulled mine out last year. It's installed after the headliner from the factory, so there wasn't any issue with mine other then one small 1/2 inch puncture where the wall rubbed the headliner over the years. That and some discoloring of the teak from behind the removed trim. Also, you'll have to make some edge trim around the top of the starboard locker to finish it off. Never regretted doing it.
My wife also sewed a privacy drape that tucks away when not needed.

There will be a calibration screw on the back of he tachs that you can use to dial them in.

From the factory there were (mildly) different layouts - one with bulkheads/door at the v-berth, and one without. There was also a layout where the dinette area was a side cabin. What Scorpion says makes sense - they probably would finish things as much as possible in a consistent manner, then put in additional partitions as needed, so with some care you might be able to cut those parts back out.

I completely refinished all the teak on my boat inside and out. Reupholstering is next.

There is no cutting what so ever. Everything unscrews.
