cored hull thickness

Post by 7421f »

Does anyone know the thickness of the fiberglass on the cored hull 11 meter express. I am looking for the measurement of outer fiberglass, the core thickness and inter hull fiberglass thickness. I sustained a 3" scrape to the edge of the chine and wanted to make sure it wasn't in the core material . Also looking for suggestions for underwater repair of that gelcoat until I can haul her out. Will Marine-Tex fast set work?

I have used JB weld "water weld" underwater epoxy before with pretty good results. as far as the core thickness , can you pull a gas tank vent thru hull fitting and check the hull thickness.
