If my engines go I am going to slap on a couple of battery operated trolling motors to my swim platform. I fear it will never get on plain however.

Re: New member with 69 - 42' Trojan/ Shepherd
Ahoy, Robert Welcome to the forum. Yep, I got a bit of the rot as well with my 42 Sea Voyager commissioned in 1969 for the 1970 model year. Lots of replacement areas but I am all wood. I didn't know she came in Fiber in 1969. Must have been shepherd that did that. Here is a few shots. Great fun and ...

Fly bridge
Anyone have a line on a Fly bridge to mount on my 1970 Sea Voyager (42ft). I'm looking to strip one off an older boat, be it bone yarded or salvaged. They were fiberglass in 73....might have been fiber over wood in 70. Either would suffice.
Let Me Know if you know. Thanks

"First - absolutely no disrespect to the current owner. She shows great care. It is pretty obvious that the things bugging me are from her sitting for a while, not "neglect." I think, seeing a few boats over the last couple of months, there's an obvious difference. The broker shared t...

Hey D I, You can keep your boat in the water in northern Iowa? I'm surprised. Must have to keep heat in the engine room? Bubblers around the boat? I'm not that much further north from you, Stillwater, Mn. and people are driving there cars on the river here! Jim Or driving their cars through the Ice...

Time for re-roofing with solar panels and use that fine battery operated trolling motor with extended length shaft.
