I am going to live-a board part time, weekends in New England year round. Whats the best way to heat only occasionaly without freezing everything?

4ears I have been useing oil filled radator type heater for the cabin
works well . you have winterized the engines I hope ? I have a reverse cycle a/c heater but when the water gets cold (less then 40 ) its usless
I keep they heater set real low unlees I am at the boat as i want to keep the bill low
