I want one too

Post by TADTOOMUCH »

I want one of the penant flags for my 1978 F-32. Maybe we'll cross paths between South Haven and Saugatuck this summer. Can't wait until April 15th. Not tax day but launch day!

The ballpark price that was quoted me before the actually design was finalized isn't even close! I'm upset with the company... the reason why the price almost double was that I insisted in their best quality materials...and reinforced sewn techniques... I have to agree with them the design and super quality material and workmanship used is second to none and the flag should last years flying in the wind each day but the sticker shock was almost unbearable!! The company rep emailed me and stated this "The only thing that may help the pricing is if they'd (meaning buyers) be willing to take them as single reverse. Like I had mentioned before, the yacht clubs have proceeded with a single-reversed flag. The method that we used on your flags is read right double, which is 2 flags produced sewn back to back. If you go with a single reversed, we sew on the back the exact same thing, however appears as a mirrored image." I am not really interested in that because the Logo would appear facing backwards on one side... So I guess if one considers that you are buying "two flags sewn together" the price is probably acceptable by some of you, others will not want to spend that much on their Trojan's appearance. With that being said if I order the Trojan penannts within a quanity of 6-18 your price will be $38.00 plus shipping costs no handling fees the flags are expensive enough! (I can meet up with some of you around Saugatuck and the shipping costs will be zip.nothing/void) and I will also carry some aboard my Trojan just incase someone wants one while I'm boating... at $38 a penannt I gross $2 a flag - Probaby not enough for a beer...lol.. Also I wrote at one time the flags were made in the USA.... not true, all the materials are made in the USA but the sewing is actually done in Old Mexico.. So Captains think about it and let me know whether or not you want one...sorry the price went up so much!!! I just don't think the "mirror image" would look that good facing backwards on one side... if you do order one and don't like it for any reason I will return the full amount of money back to you if the flag is returned in the original condition... (meaning not dirtied up) no problem... It will be nice to see our Trojan flying their "colors" once again! My first order will be going out sometime in the first part of April... takes two weeks I am told for shipments out. all orders will come to me and than sent to you after I inspected for defects...

Still want one in the read right double configuration. Nothing but the best for my baby. Let me know when you have them and I can stop up in Saugatuck and get it and buy you a beer for all the work that you have done on this.

Jimini,
I will take one of those also, and since you have the boat in saugutuck and I am in holland, It sounds like a Beer or two for your troubles.....I will be by to pick one up this summer. Maybe we can coordinate it with TADTOOMUCH and have a MINI trojan owner party.

I am planning on placing an order within the first week of April... IF you know anyone else who may be interested please let them know about it... my email address is
jimini_99@hotmail.com

I'm guessing the easy way would be to send a money order to me since I'm not about to go putting up with credit cards and personal checks ---NO CASH PLEASE....lol... But first let me get a shipment of stock built up so when your money order comes to me I can have a short turn around time to mail the penannt back to you guys --- so please hold off with the money for now! I know I will be in Saugatuck on the weekends starting at and after mid April...(the sea trail is set for mid-April) Rebecca and I are heading up there this Saturday to try to get some things done like waxing the boat and taking some measurements but I don't think the weather is going to cooperate... but at least we'll getting away from work for awhile and will enjoy each others company... she lives in Fort Wayne and I live 200+ miles to the west so weekends are the only time we see each other.... 'can you spell long distance relationship?'

Our Trojans will be a "CLASS ACT" flying the company logo!
