First Family Boat Ride

Post by FLRAVEN »

It's been about a month straight of working on the new to me boat. I've replaced both engine raw water pumps, removed, repaired, and re-installed the original Lunair AC unit, re-plumbed the raw water AC plumbing, replaced and re-plumbed the fresh water pump, and cleaned the cabin and engine room from top to bottom. Now that the boat is seaworthy again, I was finally able to get away from the dock this weekend to take the family out for their first ride on the boat. We only got to take a 45 min ride down the New River but I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I even got some help from my first mate driving.

Very nice pictures :D
Glad to know your family enjoyed the first trip. I wish you a lot of fantastic rides in your area.
This year my daugter learned how to steer a boat, helping while docking, maneuvering when I
set or lift the manual anchor.

Think your boys will learn that too - very quick :)

A BLESSING ON YOU AND YOUR YOUNG FAMILY AND MANY SAFE BOATING SEASONS AHEAD.... MAZEL TOV!!! i love seeing a young family enjoying the boat. how wonderful for you, your wife and the kids!!! i'm thrilled for you.
again, mazel tov. reminds me of my child hood and my 3 siblings. many fond memories.

as my dad always said to us whenever we ported out and arrived back 'home', ''kids, treat her like a lady, and she will ALWAYS bring you home.''

(what type of international do you have? would love to see more pics of her)

Doug, where are you at on the river? We are all the way west in Plantation Isles.
