Here is one that went for 6,200.00 I spent about a hour onboard but decided to pass. I think it is on par with the one you are looking at. I just thought a comp might help you out. When I looked at it he wants 15.9K

Doug,

I watched that boat on Ebay, by the photos, I think the one I am considering may be in better shape, but thats just from looking at photos, it wasnt until I spent some time nosing around the engine room , lazarette etc that I found the fuel tanks , electronics etc....

thanks

I'm fixing up my boat so I can enjoy using it. You already have your boat fixed up. Use your time to enjoy it, not spend all of your time fixing up a "new" old boat.

(If you enjoy the fixing more than the using, disregard the above advice.)

I have decided to relist the 32 and give it a couple of weeks, if she sells, I'm going to try and buy the 36 for as little as possible. I'll have the engines and boat surveyed, if acceptable to me, I'll replace the fuel tanks in the aft lazarette and while hauled have the thru hulls replaced and have the hull polished, new VHF and I may replace the autopilot with a Comnav for the trip home. (she is laying about 150 miles from SD)

Once here, I'll strip the interior, re-upholster the dinette and re-carpet right away along with a new sofa. this will clean her up more than anything. I'll take the rest a project at a time.. which means new corian in the galley and head, engine room painting etc.....

so thats the plan.... :)

My answer doesn't fit into the poll options.

My answer is no. The reason is because the F32 and the F36 are too similar. To me they are practicaly interchangable. If you were going to a Tri, or something bigger than a 36 sedan I'd be saying what are you waiting for. If your F-32 was in the condition of the 36 you are looking at and not vice versa I would also understand the desire for the upgrade. The F-36 plan sounds a lot like going backwards in the hopes that after a lot of time and money you can go a little bit forwards in the end.

Like I said before, its ultimately your decision, and yours alone (wife too I guess). I will be happy for you and support you no matter which way you end up going.

I'd like to see those inline 6's if you still have that boat in March when I am out your way. I will be hiking in the Laguna Mountains in the later part of March.

CP

thanks for your input and I understand you POV, however,IMO, the 36 is a substantially larger boat, its not tippy when you step aboard, bigger deeper cockpit, stand up shower, bigger bridge, the 36 I am looking at does not have a lower helm, which I like, and the salon feels twice the size.
however, one of the biggest reasons to move up to the 36 is the 32 just feels too light ot be in open water in the ocean

I believe choice 2 fits (No there is not much difference in the 2 boats )

I do disagree however four foot longer and almost a foot wider at the stern = larger salon and cockpit . and a separate shower . I could go on but I woulds be bragging . I like the F32 but I like the 36 more . Both are great boats

Meh. I respectfully disagree. Sounds more like a love affair than solid logic to me still.

You asked for some input. Now you have more than enough of mine.

I'll consider it more while hiking today. On my way out to do that right now.
