air blowers

Post by trojanmanXSagain »

folks I have another question. I have completed all the house wiring and this week will be starting to dive into the boats 12v system. The original blowers are still in the boat and what I would like to do is remove /dispose of them and utilize two detmar 4" 240cfm open flow in line blowers. does anyone see anything wrong with this idea? the squirrel cage setup I see in there now is what I'm trying to delete from the boat. anyone have any use for these if my idea will work ? I wont need them if these new blowers are installed , thanks and happy Monday

Agreed except for one thing; they are not built the same as the older gear. Somethimes it's best to leave old hardware alone until you absolutely have to replace it. The new stuff certainly won't last as long! The only caution I have to point out that I've ran across with the plastic in-line installs is over tightening the mount, this can cause the housing to warp and cause the fan blades to hit the sides.
