Transom Plug..
Hello everyone.. been a while since posted. Does anyone know type of bolt used for the hole in transom ? I would personally just plug it fiberglass or something but guess its there for a reason as a drainage hole .

Re: Transom Plug..
It looks a little high. And it looks like you're missing the threaded receiving end for your plug. The make thu-hull drain plug fittings. If you go bronze, it should be grounded to your system.

Re: Transom Plug..
Looks to high for a hull drain and to low for most other uses there is no thru hull fitting .

Re: Transom Plug..
I didn't think the F25s had prop tunnels... I thought they were standard V's. Has someone reworked the bottom on this one?
Re: Transom Plug..
i dont think it belongs there, id get a wooden dowl and some 5200 and plug it if you cants foresee a use, over the years i can recall at least 3 boats I had with unknown holes in the hull. The first was a 20ft Citation with about 6 evenly drilled 1/4in holes on the bottom near stern, possibly for a added chine? Those got pluggee with golf t's and 5200, The second a 26 Silverton with one less than 1/4 hole directly and randomly in the bottom of the boat near the rudder possibly as a weep/drain hole some dummby with a drill drilled? The boat had sat for awhile, that got plugged with a chop or toothpick and 5200 coated with marine tex after, the third was a 21ft Sea Ray the swim platform had broken off, the original bolts served as plugs in this case also with 5200.

Re: Transom Plug..
I am thinking same thing k4282.. talked to owner I bought it off.. He said it is a bilge drain plug but he never had boat in water and didn't come with plug it self. I may just plug it and seen on kijjiji they sell plugs with led under water lights .. may look into that
Re: Transom Plug..
your hole may be a little large but i see where your going, i have 5 of them on my boat, below is a picture from last year when I had 3

Re: Transom Plug..
I recently drilled a hole in the bottom of my F44 to drain the keel. I bought a large Perko plug that had a flush face to it with a square key hole and installed it with screws and 5200. I did not want the typical drain plug for my hole is on the side of the keel and if I hit something, I did not want the bolt sticking out.
