Sliding door

Post by Hydro »

Good morning to all. My wife and I just purchased a1986 F32. Our sliding glass door is a little out of adjustment, just reaching out to see if there is a way to get it adjusted, I could not find any adjustment screws. Thank you.

It's actually similar to a doorwall in a house.
To adjust it you'll find a hole at the bottom of the channel on either "side" of the door. It's meant for a Phillips screwdriver. Insert it and turn to move the roller up or down. Easy peasy. Unless it's shot. Then you'll have to remove the door to replace the roller(s).

If its the rollers, take one off and bring it to your local hardware store. They can find you a roller bearing with the same width and outside diameter of the wheel. They, they can find you a brass bushing as in insert to take up the inner diameter of the bearing. Slip the two togehter and re-install. I've replaced mine on our F36 this way and it rolls again like a dream.
