Can I display my boat name on the bow?

As I understand it, Licensed, Registered, and Documented may mean different things in Canada than in the US. Each option dictates what information has to be where on the hull, and in what size.

Also, there are differences in what kind of support you can get from your government (eg if a licensed Canadian boat has issues in foreign waters, you are on your own; while a Registered boat can get additional assistance from government agencies), AND your obligations (a licensed boat in Canada is a private vessel, while a Registered one could be pressed into military service).

Really don't think they are gonna want to send my F32 to Syria to fight ISIS, but just the same I am sticking with Licensed!

Never heard of "licensed" here in Rhode Island every vessel over 14th and any vessel with an engine must be registered regardless if it's documented, documented wouldn't make any sense
