F36 Thru Hull Identification

Post by oil&water »

Image

There are seven thru hulls above the water line in this picture. The first one is the forward bilge pump. The next cluster of three are all capped off and behind the hanging locker in the forward stateroom. The next is the sink in the head. Then the shower, then the galley sink.

What were the cluster of three before they were capped off?

We don't have those three through holes on our boat.

My guess is the top one is for the hand bilge pump that was in the hanging closet, maybe still is. We still have the pump, though it does not work. I never traced out the hose so no idea where the discharge is.

The lower two right next to each other look like they might have been for the A/C discharge lines. Ours are on the other side of the boat near the middle and a very short run from the compressor that is under the floor by the lower helm.

The hand operated bilge pump has been removed. That must be the corrugated hose that is capped off.

One thru hull looks like it went to the top of the recycling toilet. I have absolutely no idea what would come from the top of the toilet and flow overboard.

The remaining has a green garden hose capping it off. Yep, more garden house.

Now I just need to figure out how to cap them all off appropriately.

Could be an air vent to relieve pressure from the decaying action. Wouldn't want that puppy to blow!

One could be a head vent and one could be for the hand bilge pump and maybe a old a/c water outlet ?
