F32 Galley sink question

Post by georgepet »

Hi folks.....

I'm refurbishing the galley counter from my F32. Like a dummy, when I took out the counter and sink, I didn't check the clearances for potentially a larger sink. The existing cutout for a drop in sink is 16 1/4 x 12 1/8 and the Polarware sink was 17 x 13 with no faucet flange. (It isn't made anymore) Anyways, does anyone have any suggestions of what size could be accommodated without interfering with drawers or other stuff in the cabinet?

cheers

I too, have been wondering what I am eventually going to do about the sink. The cabinet above the faucet is so low that adding a faucet plate or a sink with a built in faucet will interfere. I wanted to upgrade to a goose neck faucet but haven't figured out yet, what I can do...
G36 here, has done a remake of his galley with new counter and sink.
Google "Trojan boat galley sink" in (images) and see if that helps.

Jamie....thanks.......

I've ended up getting the old sink re-polished and getting a new strainer w/basket put in.....and some new faucets.

However, I did find this company that will make sinks to measure.... http://www.justmfg.com/JustMfgCustomQuo ... nBowls.htm

....and also a company here in Montreal that would make a zero-radius sink for about $450. The advantage is that in the space available one could do a two bowl sink (or even three bowl) and much deeper.

Anyways, stuck with what I have right now...... will post photo's when I get it all installed in the boat in a couple of weeks.

cheers
