Dual tanks

Post by Sanctuary 2 »

I'm running single engine dual tanks (F26). Just in the water. Do you run with both tanks online at all time?

Can you just run on one tank or will it draw a vacuum?
We tie up to fill our batteries and check our fuel.

What year is your F26? If it is a 1971 or 1972 with the twin tank installation, you will only be able to run off of 1 tank at a time. Because of the difference in the length of tubing from the tanks to the fuel filter, the engine will only draw fuel from the port tank when both valves are open. To draw fuel from the starboard tank you need to close the valve to the port tank.

Our boats are of the same era.
I asked just for that reason the stbd fuel line a very long.
I will do my testing with the port. Then isolate it and test with stbd
thanks again
