Phototbucket reduced the video resolution greatly. I am downloading Picasa now.

Cursing, or cruising ? Speed looks to me to be about 20-22 based on the wake pattern.

Foofer - love the video! Email it to me, and I'll post it with a link on our company web-site for you (no links on the site, just "hosted" for you).

Fished Sunday and Monday evening.

We have the Blue Angels in town this week for Air Shows over Charleston harbor on Saturday and Sunday! We'll be in one of the restricted areas around the harbor, as they plan to fly right on the deck (< 50' off the water). Should be fun (and loud).

did not have the GPS with me but was running only 3100 rpm and that shhould be about 22-23 knots. Pm me your email Rossjo and I will send the vid.
I have watched the Blue Angels from my previous boats on the river and was really impressed with the show from that vantage point.

Looking forward to seeing that pennant flying.
What is your new house battery setup?
Me too Michael. My wife and I are "discussing" where it will fly. On the bow rail (me) on one of the antenna (wife).

Batteries - 6 Trojan T-105's, 2 dedicated crank batteries.

Don't put it on the antenna.... it is way too much load, being double thickness they pull a lot at speed.... tell Dianne Michael says it is best on the bow and it looks best there as it is always in view from the bridge. :)

Blue Angels Practice

Post by rossjo »

Blue Angels flying over the boat .... pretty cool - they practice again tomorrow - and then have airs shows on Saturday and Sunday ... we'll be in the harbor!

All "on the deck" = 50' feet off the water in the harbor!

I agree. You might get away with the flag on the lower half of the shaft near the mount but no way near the top. I have always had a flag on the bow, two reasons, looks good and secondly a wind vane. At the helm you can get a false wind direction by the time it gets to your face, but the bow is generally less disturbed.
